Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he will put out a strong line-up for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup game against Chelsea.
Both sides are expected to make changes for the third-round tie at Anfield, but Klopp insisted at a media conference on Tuesday that he is taking the tournament seriously.
“We are really competitive. We really want to win that game,” he said.
“I have to make decisions and I will make decisions and it will be a really strong side.”
Klopp confirmed that Simon Mignolet will be in goal for the Reds, who also play Chelsea this weekend, at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
“The only position I will confirm today is Simon – Simon will start. All the rest, you have to wait until tomorrow. But it will be a good team, believe me,” said Klopp.
“I will not name a number of changes. It will not be the maximum and it will not be the minimum.
“One I have already confirmed, so it cannot be nil, and it will for sure not be 11.”
