Chelsea’s Bate looks set for Leeds move

Chelsea youngster Lewis Bate looks set to join Leeds United.

West Ham have also shown an interest in the 18-year-old midfielder, but he appears to have opted for a move to Elland Road.


He has a year remaining on his Blues contract and there had been discussions about a new deal.

Bate is one of a number of academy products on the way out of Chelsea in pursuit of first-team football.

The others include Ike Ugbo, who is expected to join Belgian side Genk, while Brentford are close to signing Myles Peart-Harris.
