Leeds complete signing of Bate from Chelsea
Leeds have completed the signing of youngster Lewis Bate from Chelsea.
He has moved for an undisclosed fee and signed a three-year contract at Elland Road.
West Ham had also shown an interest in the 18-year-old midfielder, who had a year remaining on his Chelsea contract.
Bate is one of a number of academy products leaving Chelsea this summer in pursuit of first-team football.
The others include Ike Ugbo, who is expected to join Belgian side Genk, while Brentford are close to signing Myles Peart-Harris.
Dynel Simeu, meanwhile, is expected to join Southampton after turning down a new contract.
