Mason Mount scored twice for Chelsea as they won 4-3 in a pre-season friendly against Reading.
Ross Barkley and Kenedy also scored for the Blues at the Madejski Stadium, where Reading’s Liam Moore headed against the post shortly before Josh Barrett’s superb effort opened the scoring.
Barkley equalised with a free-kick midway through the first half and Kenedy’s strike three minutes before the interval put Chelsea ahead.
After Michael Morrison equalised early in the second half, David Luiz almost restored Chelsea’s lead with a left-footed strike which hit the bar.
Mount then netted twice in the space of six minutes, first after being set up by Tammy Abraham and then, on the hour mark, by tapping in after keeper Sam Walker’s clearance had hit Michy Batshuayi.
Sam Baldock pulled a goal back for the Championship side before Abraham went close with an overhead kick.
