‘Fantastic’ Pulisic can get even better – Lampard

Frank Lampard hailed Christian Pulisic after he scored a hat-trick for Chelsea in their 4-2 win at Burnley – and believes the American can get even better.

Pulisic has endured a tough start to his Chelsea career following his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund.

But he was outstanding at Turf Moor and boss Lampard is certain there is more to come.

Lampard said: “I know what a fantastic player he is. There are obviously things that he has to learn and improve.

“He’s just turned 21 and it’s the same as all the other young players – there are things that he’s going to work on and he certainly knows that and knows I’ve been driving that.

“I’m absolutely delighted for him. There’s been a lot of talk around Christian because of the price tag and him being a star of his country.

“I’m delighted to see him do that. I know the back-story – I know the pressures of a move like that.

“He fully deserved his start and it was a fantastic match-winning performance.”
