Juve believe Cuadrado deal is close
Juventus president Giueseppe Marotta has told Italian media he is hopeful his club will agree a deal for Juan Cuadrado to return from Chelsea.
The Colombian has been unable to establish himself as a first-team player at Stamford Bridge but impressed while on loan at Juve last season.
Cuadrado had been tipped to move on loan again, but recent reports have suggested Juve are looking to buy him.
“I hope that over the next few days we can conclude the Cuadrado deal,” Marotta has been quoted as saying.
“For now he is a Chelsea player. We presented a proposal to them and are waiting for a response, but we are optimistic.”
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who previously indicated that he wanted to keep Cuadrado, recently admitted the winger’s future was unclear.
