Injured Terry still unable to return
John Terry will miss Chelsea’s Boxing Day match against Norwich, interim manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed.
Terry was expected to return from a knee injury earlier this month but is still not training fully.
And Benitez says the club remain unsure when their inspirational captain will be back.
“We cannot say when he will be available. We talk to the doctors, but with inflammation it’s difficult to say,” Benitez explained.
“He will not be available for the next game, that is clear, but I don’t know how long it will be.”
