Chelsea’s Under-21s thrash Norwich
Chelsea’s youngsters looked impressive once again as they thrashed Norwich City 5-0 in the Under-21 Premier League.
There were goals for Reece Mitchell, Jordan Houghton, Kasey Palmer, Dion Conroy and Fikayo Tomori in a one-sided game at Aldershot.
Chelsea were two up within 12 minutes after Fankaty Dabo crossed for Mitchell to score the opener and Houghton fired home following a corner.
Jake Clarke-Salter (pictured), who recently trained with the first team, and striker Tammy Abraham went close for the Blues before Palmer made it 3-0 11 minutes into the second half.
Palmer scored from the rebound after Abraham’s shot came back off the post – his 12th goal of the season.
Defender Conroy scored a great goal after coming on as a substitute, finishing superbly after a fine run.
And Tomori capped a resounding Chelsea win by volleying in the fifth with seven minutes remaining.
