Chelsea’s development side came from behind to beat Manchester United 3-1 on Friday evening.
Dujon Sterling (pictured), Josi Quintero and substitute Jacob Maddox scored for the Blues in an entertaining Premier League 2 match at Aldershot.
The visitors went ahead when Axel Tuanzebe headed home from Sean Goss’s right-wing corner midway through the first half.
Chelsea responded and Fikayo Tomori – who later limped off – fired against the post before the equaliser eventually arrived when Sterling netted after being set up by Ike Ugbo.
Jay Dasilva had a chance to put Chelsea ahead before the interval, but his penalty following Matthew Willock’s foul on Mason Mount was saved by keeper Kieron O’Hara.
But Dasilva atoned with some good work on the left to create a second-half goal for Quintero, who finished emphatically, as did Maddox when he netted Chelsea’s third.
