Antonio Conte has dismissed reports he could quit as Chelsea boss at the end of the season.
It has been claimed that Conte, who has two years remaining on his contract, could return to his previous job in charge of the Italian national team. He has also been linked with AC Milan.
Speculation about his future has been reignited by a recent interview in which former Juventus boss Conte reiterated that he plans to return to Italy at some stage.
Conte insists his comments were interpreted.
“For two weeks I am reading wrong things,” he said.
“I did an interview two weeks ago and I’m sure the translation was wrong, because in the interview I only said that one day in the future I would like to go back to Italy – one day in the future.
“You know very well my position. I have two years of my contract and I am happy to work at this club. I like to work with my players and like to have this great feeling with our fans. I don’t see a problem.”
Conte also hit back at reports he could leave Stamford Bridge for family reasons.
He said: “Another situation I want to clarify is that my family stay here with me, not in Italy. My daughter is going to school here.
“When you write something it is important to write the truth.”
