QPR will honour the club’s legendary former manager Dave Sexton this weekend.
Sexton will be posthumously inducted into the Forever R’s club – the association set up for ex-QPR players and other important figures – during Saturday’s home game against Preston.
So too will former Rangers players George Powell and Bobby Keetch.
They will be represented by family and friends at Loftus Road, where Sexton, who died in 2012, managed QPR’s best-ever side.
Rangers missed out on the title by one point under Sexton in 1976 and reached the quarter-finals of the Uefa Cup the following year.
Before that he managed Chelsea, winning the FA Cup and European Cup winners’ Cup.
His managerial career also included a spell at Manchester United and two stints in charge of England Under-21s.
The Fulham-born Powell was a defender who captained Rangers in the 1940s, while Keetch, also a defender, was at the club between 1966 and 1969.
