Young Chelsea defender signs new three-year contract
Chelsea youngster Marc Guehi has signed a new three-year contract.
The defender, 19, has impressed for Chelsea’s development side and on the international stage.
He was a key player in England’s Under-17 World Cup-winning team two years ago and was recently called up for the Under-21s for the first time.
“I’m really excited and happy to sign a new contract and extend my stay at the club,’ he told Chelsea’s website.
“I can now focus completely on my football and try to better myself every day.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has withdrawn from the Croatia squad because of an Achilles injury.
