West Ham are looking to sign Loic Remy from Chelsea on a season-long loan.
Remy, 29, has attracted interest from several clubs but is keen to stay in London.
There have been reports in his native France that Crystal Palace have agreed a deal to sign him on loan with a view to an eventual permanent move.
But West Ham have also held talks with Chelsea over a potential deal for the former QPR striker.
The east London club are looking to sign a forward as Andre Ayew, Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are currently sidelined.
