Video: Sarri’s criticism of Chelsea players

There is more speculation over the future of Maurizio Sarri in the wake of Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat at Everton.

Sky Sports News reported on Monday that the Blues hierarchy had discussed whether head coach Sarri is the right man for the job.

However, those discussions are not recent – they took place between Chelsea officials some weeks ago, before a recent upturn in results.

Sarri has attracted criticism after some dismal results and controversial decisions, such as playing without a recognised striker, deploying N’Golo Kante in an attacking midfield role, and overlooking Callum Hudson-Odoi.

And the Italian has been critical of his players after several matches this season – not least following defeats at Manchester City, Arsenal and Bournemouth.
