Tottenham beat young Blues in first leg

Holders Chelsea must come from behind if they are to reach the FA Youth Cup final after Tottenham beat them 2-0 in the semi-final first leg at White Hart Lane.

Joshua Onomah scored four minutes before half-time and a late goal by  Kazaiah Sterling put Spurs in a strong position ahead of the second leg at Stamford Bridge in a fortnight.

Onomah took advantage of a ricochet in the box by turning and trying his luck with a shot which squirmed under Blues goalkeeper Bradley Collins.

Dominic Solanke [pictured] was denied by a fine save as Chelsea tried to find an equaliser in the second half.

And Tottenham doubled their lead after Tammy Abraham was dispossessed in midfield.

Sterling was put through near the left-hand edge of the penalty area and fired beyond Collins.
