Abraham scores again but Chelsea Under-21s lose
Striker Tammy Abraham scored with a penalty and had another saved as Chelsea’s youngsters lost 3-1 to Sunderland in the Under-21 Premier League.
The game at Cobham was level at half-time after Abraham equalised from the spot – his 14th goal of the season – after Ethan Robson had put the visitors ahead.
But the match swung back in Sunderland’s favour in the second half.
Daniel Wright put them ahead, and after Abraham’s penalty was saved by keeper Maksymilian Stryjek, Martin Smith netted the third.
Stryjek also produced a fine save to deny Charly Musonda.
