Dominic Solanke and Charlie Colkett both scored twice as Chelsea’s Under-19 side thrashed Maribor 7-0 in the Uefa Youth League.
Charly Musonda, Alex Kiwomya and Tammy Abraham also found the net in a one-sided match played ahead of the first team’s Champions League encounter with the Slovenian side.
The young Blues were 5-0 up at half-time. Solanke [pictured], Colkett and Musonda netted to put them in control before Colkett scored again and Solanke completed his brace after being set up by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Maribor had a player sent off in the second half before Kiwomya made it 6-0 and Abraham scored in injury time.
The result continued a trend of emphatic wins by Chelsea’s youngsters.
They previously thrashed Sporting Lisbon 5-0 and Schalke 4-1 in the same competition and the Under-18s recently demolished Aston Villa 12-2.
