Chelsea youngster Piazon praised after first Reading goal
Steve Clarke has praised Lucas Piazon after the on-loan Chelsea youngster scored his first goal in English football.
Piazon, who is on loan at Reading from the Blues, netted the second goal for Clarke’s side as they won 2-1 at Burnley on Saturday.
Royals boss Clarke, who spent 11 years as a player at Chelsea and also served the club as a coach and assistant manager, said: “Lucas finished as we know he can and it’s good for him to get off the mark.
“He’s a comfortable player with quality. I knew what I was bringing to the club.”
Piazon, 21, will spend the season with Clarke’s team – the Brazilian’s fourth loan spell since Chelsea signed him from Sao Paulo in January 2012.
He has previously been on loan at Malaga, Vitesse Arnhem and Eintracht Frankfurt.
