Antonio Conte has confirmed that Alvaro Morata is set to return to the Chelsea side against Huddersfield.
Blues boss Conte is expected to make changes for Wednesday’s game at Stamford Bridge, with striker Morata in line for a recall following a recent injury.
However, Conte was reluctant to comment on Morata’s future when the Italian spoke at a news conference on Monday afternoon.
It comes amid reports that Juventus are keen to sign the Spain international this summer.
“I don’t like to comment on speculation. I think it (commenting) is not right,” said Conte.
“It is important to be focused on the present and finish the season in the right way.”
Asked about Morata’s form this season and whether Conte believes the player will still be at Chelsea next term, he said: “This season was a difficult season but not only for Morata.
“Morata is Chelsea’s player and he must be ready to play tomorrow and next season. The situation is very clear.”
