Injury woe for Chelsea youngster Kane

Todd Kane could return to Chelsea after suffering a shoulder injury on his full debut for Bristol City.

The on-loan Blues youngster, 21, was hurt during City’s FA Cup second-round game against AFC Telford at the weekend.

His injury is being assessed and a decision will be made on whether he will remain with the League One club for treatment or return to Chelsea.

“We will talk to Chelsea about the next step because he’s their player,” said City manager Steve Cotterill.

“It’s a real shame, because he’s been itching to get involved and had a really good game.”

Kane is yet to make his first-team debut for Chelsea but has had two loan spells in the Championship with Blackburn and has also been loaned to Preston.
