Chelsea Under-18s suffered their first defeat of the campaign, losing 2-0 at West Ham.
The young Blues had won four of their previous five matches this season but came up against an impressive West Ham side, who took the lead through Declan Rice’s goal.
Visiting keeper Nathan Baxter saved Joe Powell’s penalty but was then unable to keep out Idris Kanu’s curling shot.
Chelsea’s Under-18s are next in action next Saturday, when they host Brighton.
Meanwhile, Brentford’s Under-18s lost 4-3 at Sheffield Wednesday.
