Maurizio Sarri has refused to be drawn on reports linking Chelsea with strikers Callum Wilson and Gonzalo Higuain.
Assistant boss Gianfranco Zola appeared to confirm this week that Chelsea are interested in Bournemouth’s Wilson.
However, speaking at a media conference on Friday afternoon, Blues head coach Sarri said “I don’t know” when asked about the England international.
Argentina forward Higuain played under Sarri at Napoli and was linked with Chelsea before joining AC Milan on a season-long loan from Juventus during the summer.
Reports now claim that loan deal could be terminated and Higuain could instead join Chelsea on loan with a view to a permanent move.
Sarri said: “I like him very much. He is a wonderful player and a wonderful man.
“But I don’t want to talk about Higuain because I have two strikers and Gonzalo is playing for AC Milan, so I think it’s better not to talk about him at the moment.”
Meanwhile, Sarri has insisted that Andreas Christensen is not for sale despite speculation about the defender’s future.
