Guus Hiddink has refused to comment on reports linking Chelsea with a move for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
The England international, 28, has scored 15 goals this season and is one of a host of players Chelsea have been linked with in recent weeks.
But Blues boss Hiddink said: “Now is the time of nice speculation. We are not going into speculation and are not naming anyone.”
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup third-round tie against Scunthorpe United, Hiddink also refused to comment on Eden Hazard’s future.
The Chelsea playmaker has been linked with number of clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, amid reports that he could leave Stamford Bridge during this month’s transfer window.
Hazard, who suffered groin injury at Crystal Palace on Sunday, is unavailable for the Scunthorpe game, as are strikers Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao.
