Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has scoffed at speculation linking him with a move for Real Madrid’s former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Blues and United were recently reported to be planning to try to bring Ronaldo, 29, back to the Premier League when the transfer window reopens in January.
Ronaldo played under his fellow Portuguese at the Bernabéu, but when asked if he was interested in signing him, Mourinho simply said: “Forget it”.
The forward made 176 league appearances, scoring 84 goals, during a six-year spell at Old Trafford before leaving United to join Real for £80m in 2009.
