Everton, Newcastle and Palace want Gallagher

Everton have made an approach to Chelsea for Conor Gallagher but he is not keen on a move to Goodison Park.

Newcastle and Crystal Palace are also interested in the midfielder, who could leave Stamford Bridge either permanently or on loan before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

He spent last season on loan at Palace and his performances there led to an England call-up.

The Eagles would like Gallagher, who turns 23 next week, to return to south London.

He has been determined to establish himself as a first-team player at Chelsea and has made 25 appearances so far this season.

But the possible signing of Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez means Gallagher faces the prospect of falling further down the pecking order.

Meanwhile, Chelsea youngster Jude Soonsup-Bell is set to sign for Tottenham.
