Chelsea thrash Cardiff in Under-21 Cup
Chelsea will be at home to West Ham in the quarter-finals of the Under-21 Premier League Cup after thrashing Cardiff 4-0 on Friday evening.
Lewis Baker’s first-half penalty was followed after the break by a bizarre own goal and then strikes from Alex Kiwomya and substitute Jeremie Boga.
Dermot Drummy’s side, who entered the tournament at the last-16 stage, got off to the perfect start at the Cardiff City Stadium when Baker netted from the spot following a foul on Isaiah Brown.
And after Ben Wilson put through his own net, Kiwomya raced through to make it 3-0 before Boga [pictured above] scored an excellent fourth, beating his man and then firing into the bottom corner.
