Chelsea youngster takes goal tally to 41
Striker Tammy Abraham scored his 41st goal of the season as Chelsea drew 2-2 with Norwich in their final Under-21 Premier League match of the campaign.
Charly Musonda doubled the lead after Abraham’s opener at Carrow Road but Wembley-born Jacob Murphy scored twice to peg back the Blues, who had Jake Clarke-Salter sent off midway through the second half.
They looked set for a resounding win after Musonda, who earlier hit the bar, followed Abraham’s tidy finish with a fine individual goal to make it 2-0.
But Murphy pulled a goal back with a cracking strike four minutes before half-time and worse followed for the visitors when Clarke-Salter was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
After Murphy hauled the Canaries level, Abraham almost restored the lead late on.
The draw means Chelsea finished third in the table. Abraham’s team-mate Dominic Solanke also netted 41 times this season.
