Chelsea midfielder John Swift has crossed west London to join Brentford on a month-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old will be with the Bees until 31 October and is their first signing since Lee Carsley replaced Marinus Dijkhuizen as manager.
Swift played three times in the Championship for Rotherham last season, ending the campaign with a more successful loan spell at Swindon in League One, scoring twice in 14 appearances.
He has been a regular this term for the Blues’ Under-21 side, having previously played in two FA Youth Cup finals.
The former Portsmouth trainee has played for England at every level from Under-16s to Under-20s.
