Chelsea announce youngster’s new three-year deal

Chelsea midfielder Charlie Colkett has signed a new three-year contract.

Colkett, 19, captained the Under-19s to UEFA Youth League success against Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, having also lifted the FA Youth Cup twice.

The England Under-20 international joined the Blues as an Under-11, and was recently called up to a senior matchday squad for the first time when he was an unused substitute against Swansea on 9 April.

Colkett told Chelsea’s official website: “It’s a very proud day for me and my family.

“It’s been great since I’ve been here and hopefully I can continue to kick on and achieve even more.”
