Another goal for Abraham as Chelsea Under-21s win

Striker Tammy Abraham scored his 23rd goal of the season as Chelsea’s youngsters won 3-1 at Reading in the Under-21 Premier League.

Jacob Maddox netted his first goal for the Blues at Under-21 level and Reece Mitchell also scored in an impressive victory for the visitors.

Abraham opened the scoring after just two minutes, slotting home after being found by Kyle Scott’s perfect through-ball.

Tariqe Fosu headed in an equaliser but Chelsea then went close when Abraham fired against the far post and were back in front by the interval courtesy of Maddox’s composed finish.

Mitchell made it three in the second half, rounding off a lovely team move after being teed up by Kasey Palmer.
