Blues edging towards Rugani deal

Chelsea appear to be edging towards a deal to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus.

The Italy central defender, 23, previously played under Maurizio Sarri while on loan at Empoli.

New Blues head coach Sarri is keen for the club to bring in Rugani and talks with Juventus are at an advanced stage.

An agreement seems to be close – despite reports in Italy claiming that Juve have rejected a bid from Chelsea.

Sarri is keen to strengthen Chelsea’s defence, having already boosted his midfield options by bringing in Jorginho from Napoli.
