Clarke-Salter among five youngsters sent on loan
Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter and midfielder Charlie Colkett have both joined Bristol Rovers on loan until the end of the season.
They were among six Blues players to leave Stamford Bridge on loan on transfer deadline day, after Juan Cuadrado returned to Juventus and Christian Cuevas, Dion Conroy and Nathan Baxter were also farmed out.
Clarke-Salter (pictured) made his Premier League debut as a substitute in last season’s 4-0 win over Aston Villa and is a three-time FA Youth Cup winner, a feat achieved by only six other players in history.
Colkett, 19, was an FA Youth Cup winner in 2014 and 2015, and captained the 2016 Uefa Youth League-winning team.
He was among the substitutes for Chelsea’s Premier League game at Swansea in April.
Cuevas, 21, rejoined Belgian side Sint-Truidense on loan for the rest of the season, having also spent last term with them.
Conroy, 20, will be with National League side Aldershot Town until 15 January, while goalkeeper Baxter, 17, an FA Youth Cup winner last season, has signed for Ryman Premier Division side Met Police.
