Gary Cahill is a doubt for Chelsea’s game at Crystal Palace on Sunday because of an ankle injury.
Cahill missed Monday’s draw at Manchester United and was not fit enough to train on Wednesday morning.
Loic Remy, who is wanted by Aston Villa, is also expected to be unavailable for the derby at Selhurst Park, as is Radamel Falcao, who is still recovering from injury.
Cesc Fabregas, who also missed the United game, has returned to training after an illness and is expected to be available.
Blues boss Guus Hiddink indicated that Cahill’s injury is not overly serious, saying he is “not negative” about the defender’s condition.
“Falcao, I doubt it. Remy is also doubtful, and Gary Cahill didn’t go on to the (training) pitch this morning, but we have several days to go before the game,” Hiddink said.
“He (Cahill) has an ankle injury. Some ligaments are a little bit stiff.”
