Chelsea have confirmed that defender Michael Hector is joining Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan.
The German club initially expressed an interest in another Blues centre-back, Matt Miazga, but before agreeing a deal for Hector.
The 24-year-old was a surprise signing from Reading a year ago and was loaned back to the Championship club for the rest of last season.
He has not made a competitive first-team appearance for Chelsea but did feature during their recent pre-season campaign.
