Ampadu tribunal set to take place
A tribunal to decide the fee Chelsea must pay Exeter City for Ethan Ampadu will take place on Wednesday, with a decision expected next month.
Ampadu, 17, left the Devon outfit to join Chelsea last summer after rejecting Exeter’s offer of a new contract.
As he is under 24 and a product of their youth system, and because the two clubs have been unable to agree a fee, a tribunal will decide how much compensation will be paid to Exeter.
Ampadu has impressed since his move to Stamford Bridge, making seven appearances for Chelsea. He has also played twice for Wales.
However, his season has been prematurely ended by an ankle injury.
