Transfer gossip: Mail say Batshuayi has snubbed West Ham

Some of the transfer stories involving Chelsea as the deadline approaches…

Michy Batshuayi has rejected a potential move to West Ham, the Mail say.

The Hammers have long been linked with Batshuayi, has been on loan at Valencia but repeatedly tipped to move elsewhere this month.

The Mail say West Ham are interested in the striker but that he does not want to join them.

The Guardian say Everton are interested in Batshuayi but have been told that Chelsea want £35m for him.

The Mail also say West Ham are ready to make another move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud ahead of the transfer deadline.

It is claimed that the Hammers, who tried to sign Giroud prior to his move from Arsenal to Chelsea, want him because they fear they could be without the injured Marko Arnautovic for some time.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are making a surprise pre-deadline move for Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure, it is claimed.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has been keen for the club to bring in a midfielder to replace Cesc Fabregas, who recently left for Monaco.

And the Mirror claim Hornets star Doucoure has been lined up for a switch to Stamford Bridge.

He was not included in the Watford squad for their game against Tottenham on Wednesday evening, prompting speculation that he could be on the move.

Watford boss Javi Gracia said the player has been nursing a knee problem.

Paris St-Germain are set to make a pre-deadline bid for Chelsea’s Willian, according to the Mail.

Sky Sports News are reporting that Chelsea will reject any bid for Willian ahead of tonight’s deadline.
