Antonio Rudiger’s second-half goal gave Chelsea the points at Stamford Bridge. Here’s how we rated each Blues player in the 1-0 win over Swansea.

Thibaut Courtois: 6

Had very little to do as his team dominated the game from start to finish.

Antonio Rudiger: 7

A night to remember for the German, who scored his first Premier League goal and looked composed throughout – bar a diabolical overhit ball in the first half which ended up in the stands.

Andreas Christensen: 7

The Dane continues to look the part at the heart of the Chelsea defence. Calm and classy on the ball as well as being able to compete physically when necessary.

Gary Cahill: 7

Did the basics well and produced a vital challenge to deny Oliver McBurnie in the final moments.

Davide Zappacosta: 7

Got forward well and was denied a goal by one of several saves by visiting keeper Lukasz Fabianski.

N’Golo Kante: 7

Kept things ticking over in midfield and his shot inadvertently led to the winning goal when it was deflected towards Rudiger.

Cesc Fabregas: 7

Made a sloppy start on his return to the side, giving the ball away a couple of times early on. But he made amends with a very decent display in midfield.

Marcos Alonso: 7

Always an excellent attacking outlet for the Blues on the left and would have scored but for a couple of saves from Fabianski.

Willian: 7

Another denied a goal by Fabianski, Willian was busy throughout and got through a phenomenal amount of work off the ball.

Alvaro Morata: 6

Worked hard up front and linked play well, but will be disappointed not to have scored. The striker was unlucky on two occasions when he was denied by fine saves from Fabianski, but he missed a great chance to double the lead when he lifted the ball over the bar after finding himself through on goal.

Pedro: 7

Always busy and linked up with Morata nicely. The rested Eden Hazard was missed at times though.
