Alonso’s ‘dream’ of being Europe’s best left-back

Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso speaks after signing a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Alonso says it is his “dream” to establish himself as the best left-back in Europe – which Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has insisted he is capable of doing.

The Spaniard also says he has had no problems re-adjusting to the role of left-back having operated as a wing-back before Sarri’s arrival.
