Stories in Sunday’s newspapers involving the area’s clubs….
Chelsea are listening to offers for Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater, the Sunday Telegraph reports.
It comes after Blues boss Frank Lampard left both players out of his squad for Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach.
They have failed to impress since arriving at Chelsea – Bakayoko was on loan at AC Milan last season and Drinkwater did not feature at all under Lampard’s predecessor Maurizio Sarri.
The Mail on Sunday say Brighton want Drinkwater on a season-long loan, although other reports have suggested he will again sit tight and stay at Chelsea despite being surplus to requirements.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star Sunday say Tottenham are set to seal the signing of Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.
The teenager has a year left on his Fulham contract and has been widely tipped to leave Craven Cottage this summer.
West London Sport revealed Spurs’ interest in him three years ago and they have always been the frontrunners to sign Sessegnon despite several other clubs being linked with him.
The Daily Star Sunday say Spurs are close to completing his signing in a deal worth around £25m.
And the Sunday Express claim Crystal Palace are looking to sign both Ollie Watkins and Neal Maupay from Brentford.
