Mount completes loan move after signing Chelsea deal

Teenage midfielder Mason Mount has completed a season-long loan move to Vitesse Arnhem after signing a new four-year contract at Chelsea.

The 18-year-old scored four times in 27 appearances for the Blues’ development side last term, playing against the first teams of Swindon, Exeter and Oxford in the EFL Trophy.

Having won several trophies with Chelsea’s youth teams, he is now set for further experience of senior football in the Dutch top flight.

Mount’s team-mates at Vitesse include fellow Chelsea loanees Fankaty Dabo and Charlie Colkett, while his former colleague Mukhtar Ali completed a permanent move there earlier this month.
