Chelsea took another big step towards the Premier League title by winning at Bournemouth. Here’s how we rated each Blues player in their 3-1 victory.
Produced a vital early save when he prevented a David Luiz own goal with a superb stop. Always looked assured.
A typically solid performance from the reliable defender. Never looked flustered.
Fortunate not to score an own goal and was caused problems generally in the first half. He stuck to the task though and defended well in the second period.
Also defended well as Bournemouth put Chelsea under pressure. Won several important challenges, including when he denied Lys Mousset with a well-timed intervention.
An emphatic return from injury. Moses was tireless on the right, delivered the cross which led to the opening goal and would have scored himself but for a fine save. Great stuff.
Another dominant display, typified by the way he superbly stopped Benik Afobe in his tracks as Bournemouth pushed forward in the first half. Found Eden Hazard in the build up to the Belgian’s goal and was outstanding throughout.
Justified his recall to the side with a fine performance. He was defensively solid and contributed in attack too.
Produced probably his best performance for Chelsea, the highlight of which was of course the sublime free-kick to seal their win. Delivered several excellent crosses into the box and was too hot for Bournemouth handle on the left flank.
Took his goal beautifully and his all-round display was full of his usual quality. Unstoppable when in this kind of form.
Another terrific showing from the Spaniard, whose skill and movement were a joy to watch.
A frustrating day in many ways for Costa, whose touch and accuracy deserted him. But he deserves top marks for persistence as he never let the home defence settle.
