Izzy Brown has signed a new four-year contract with Chelsea and joined Premier League newcomers Brighton on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old forward played on loan for Rotherham and Huddersfield in the Championship last term, helping the latter to promotion via the play-offs, with four goals in 18 appearances.
The England Under-20 international joined Chelsea from West Bromwich Albion in 2013 and is one of a number of Blues players to have loaned to Vitesse Arnhem, playing 22 times in the Dutch top flight in 2015-16.
Brighton manager Chris Hughton said: “The natural progression for Izzy, having enjoyed such a successful season in the Championship last season, was to step up to the Premier League – and we are delighted he will be doing that with us, here at Brighton.
“He is a player with great potential and will bring a different dimension to our attacking options for the season ahead, alongside our existing strikers.”
