Transfer gossip: United now tipped to keep Martial

Some of the transfer speculation in Saturday’s newspapers involving the area’s clubs…

Manchester United could keep Anthony Martial despite interest from Chelsea, the Daily Mirror say.

It comes after reports linking Chelsea with the French forward and claims that United’s former Blues boss Jose Mourinho was willing to sell him this summer.

Martial was recently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as part of an exchange deal involving Willian.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri insisted on Friday that he is “very confident” Willian will stay  despite speculation over the Brazilian’s future.

It’s claimed that Chelsea are interested in Martial

And the Mirror now claim a deal involving Wilian was mooted but that United decided against it and do not want to sell Martial without bringing in a replacement.

Meanwhile, Fulham want to sign Real Madrid defender Theo Hernandez on loan, The Sun reports.

The Whites are said to have offered Real a £1.75m loan fee to take the left-back to west London for a season.
