Transfer gossip: Real reported to have agreed terms with Courtois

Some of the recent transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

It is again being claimed that Real Madrid have agreed terms with Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

It has been reported a number of times in recent month that Courtois has agreed a deal with Real.

And the Daily Mail declare that an agreement is in place between Real and the Belgian, with the Spanish club now needing to agree a fee with Chelsea.

The Mail also say Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris is seen by Real as a possible alternative if they are unable to sign Courtois.

Spanish newspaper Marca have declared that Courtois is set to join Real for around £31m.

Palace eyeing Drinkwater – Mail

Crystal Palace are interested in Danny Drinkwater, again according to the Mail.

Drinkwater has been unable to establish himself as a first-team regular at Chelsea since being signed from Leicester a year ago.

The Blues have been tipped to sell the midfielder and the Mail say he is among a number of players on Palace’s radar.

Martial still being linked

Chelsea continue to be linked with Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.

Tottenham are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old Frenchman, who has reportedly told United he wants to move.

The Sun say United are willing to let Martial go but have made it clear they do not want to sell to a Premier League rival.

The newspaper declare that player wants to “defy” United and join another English club, “putting Chelsea and Tottenham on red alert.”

Chelsea want £70m for Willian – Sun

Chelsea want £70m from Barcelona for Willian, The Sun say.

The Blues have rejected a £55m bid from Barca and The Sun say Chelsea want considerably more than that if they are to sell the Brazilian.

The Independent, meanwhile, say Manchester United, who have also been pursuing Willian, are now looking at alternatives because Chelsea do not want to do business with them.

The Mail declared earlier this week that Chelsea were considering accepting Barcelona’s bid,

The Mail claimed that Chelsea would rather sell to Barca than a domestic rival in United and that the La Liga club’s offer would be discussed at a scheduled meeting between Blues owner Roman Abramovich and director Marina Granovskia this week.

Zappacosta could go – Sun

Davide Zappacosta could be on his way out of Chelsea, according to The Sun.

Inter Milan reportedly want to take the Italy international on loan with a view to a £25m permanent deal.

New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has spent heavily on Jorginho and is keen to make more signings, so The Sun suggest fringe players like Zappacosta might go in order to balance the books.

Speculation over Hazard’s future

The Sunday Times have claimed Eden Hazard has asked to leave Chelsea and that the club are working on a deal to bring in Martial as his replacement.

Reports elsewhere suggest Chelsea are increasingly confident Hazard will stay – and that United plan to tie Martial to a new contract.

However, the Sunday Times claimed Hazard is keen to move to Real Madrid and that United’s former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is open to selling Martial.

The newspaper also said Bayern Munich are interested in Martial as well but that neither the German club nor Chelsea want to pay United’s asking price, which is apparently just under £90m.

Martial has a year remaining on his contract, while Hazard is under contract at Chelsea until 2020.

Other reports have suggested that Chelsea have no intention of selling Hazard.

The Sunday Mirror said Chelsea have told Real they will not be bullied into selling him, even for £170m.

The Sunday Express ran a similar story, reporting that Chelsea will not sell the Belgian unless they decide they want to.

And the Mail on Sunday went a step further, declaring that Hazard is not for sale and that Chelsea are confident he will not demand a move to Real.

Keepers linked

With speculation also continuing over the future of Courtois, Chelsea have been linked with several goalkeepers touted as his possible replacement.

The Sun have claim the Blues will look at both England keepers Jordan Pickford and Jack Butland as replacements for Courtois if the Belgian leaves.

Stoke’s Butland was linked with Chelsea prior to Everton’s Pickford being chosen ahead of him at the recent World Cup.

Chelsea are considering offering Manchester City £5m for Joe Hart, The Sun previously claimed, while Sky have reported that the club are interested in re-signing Petr Cech from Arsenal or buying Leicester’s Kasper Schmeichel if Courtois leaves.

The Evening Standard have claimed that Chelsea, who were linked with Alisson prior to the Brazil keeper’s move to Liverpool from Roma, have added AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma to a three-man shortlist of keepers which also includes Cech and Schmeichel.

Serbia star touted for move

Chelsea are interested in Lazio’s Serbia midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to The Independent.

The 23-year-old is keen to move this summer and has been linked with a number of clubs.
