Chelsea’s development side pulled off a brilliant late comeback to draw 2-2 at Manchester City and maintain their unbeaten start.
They stormed back from 2-0 down with two goals in the final seven minutes – Billy Gilmour scored with a penalty and Marc Guehi netted a last-minute equaliser.
The young Blues went into the game with a 100% record this season, while City were yet to pick up a point.
But the hosts took a first-half lead when Tom Dele-Bashiru’s low cross was deflected into his own net by defender Guehi.
After Jayden Braaf doubled City’s lead early in the second half, Chelsea refused to give up and continued to create chances.
Gilmour converted the resulting spot-kick after lively substitute Tino Anjorin was brought down.
And Guehi atoned for his earlier mishap by scoring from close range at the near post as Chelsea laid siege to City’s goal.
