Some of the recent transfer speculation involving Chelsea…
Callum Hudson-Odoi continues to be linked with a possible move to Germany.
Reports have suggested that Bayern Munich are set to make Chelsea an offer for the teenage forward and that there is also interest from Borussia Dortmund.
And German publication Kicker have now reported that RB Leipzig have joined the apparent race to sign Hudson-Odoi during the approaching transfer window.
Reports are again suggesting that Chelsea are on the verge of a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic.
Dortmund denied previous reports that deal had been agreed for Pulisic – and more recent reports claimed he was set to join Liverpool.
Now it is again being claimed that Chelsea are looking to tie up the signing of the American, who has been touted for a move to the Premier League for some time.
And from Sunday’s newspapers…
There continues to be speculation over the future of Gary Cahill.
The defender has been tipped to leave Chelsea next month, having been out of favour under Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.
He has been linked with a number of clubs ahead of the transfer window, including Arsenal.
The Sunday Express has claimed Inter Milan want him and have launched a bid to “hijack” Arsenal’s supposed move for Cahill.
A number of Sunday’s newspapers declared that Alvaro Morata’s future at Chelsea looks even bleaker after comments by Sarri.
Sarri was asked if he regarded Eden Hazard as his best option as a centre-forward.
He said: “In the last matches I prefer this solution. For the future everything is open.
“I think that Alvaro is better in the box and better to attack spaces but I have to say Eden is improving.
“It’s different as Eden is better when he comes to play with the midfielders and opens spaces. He’s another way of playing.”
It is claimed that Lazio could make a move for Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta.
The Sunday Mirror suggested Zappacosta has been lined up by Lazio as a possible alternative signing if they are unable to agree a deal for Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian, who has been linked with the Rome club.
Chelsea have been told they must pay £30m if they want to sign Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels, The Sun on Sunday reported.
It follows recent reports which claimed that the Germany centre-back is a Blues transfer target.
