The stories in Thursday’s newspapers involving Chelsea…
German club RB Leipzig want to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea, according to The Sun.
The striker, 21, is currently on a season-long loan at Aston Villa and doubts remain over his long-term future.
Wolves wanted him during the January transfer window and have been tipped to make another attempt to sign Abraham this summer.
The Sun say Abraham could also be handed a potential move to Germany, where there is said to be interest in numerous young English players.
A number of newspapers are reporting comments made by Maurizio Sarri as an indication Chelsea plan to keep him as head coach.
Sarri said at a press conference on Wednesday that he has been involved in discussions about the club’s pre-season plans, which is being taken as a sign he is likely to still be at Stamford Bridge.
“We were talking about pre-season. We were trying to organise in the best way the next pre-season,” he said.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will continue his compensation claim against the club even if he returns to Juventus, the Daily Express say.
It follows reports that Conte, who was axed prior to fellow Italian Sarri taking over at the Bridge, is set to take over at Juve at the end of the season.
