Sun say Kepa and Caballero had dressing-room row

Newspapers are continuing to focus on the extraordinary incident involving Kepa Arrizabalaga in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.

The Chelsea goalkeeper refused to come off during the game against Manchester City at Wembley when boss Maurizio Sarri attempted to replace him with Willy Caballero.

And The Sun say Kepa and Caballero were involved in a row in the dressing room afterwards.

According to The Sun, the fall-out was caused by Kepa saying he wanted to stay on because he is a better keeper than Caballero.

The Sun say a “stand-up row” between the pair then ensued and that they “squared up in the Wembley dressing room as it all kicked off.”

The Daily Mirror reports that Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger’s brother posted on Twitter that his sibling should be installed as captain in place of Cesar Azpilicueta after the Spaniard did not intervene when Kepa was refusing to go off.

The Daily Mail reports that Sarri will not be punished by the Football Association for hurling a plastic bottle in anger after Kepa defied him.

Meanwhile, The Sun have picked up on reports in Italy that Gonzalo Higuain has no future at Juventus regardless of whether Chelsea opt to buy him when his loan spell ends.
