The transfer stories in Saturday’s newspapers involving Chelsea…
Chelsea are trying to negotiate a buy-back clause in the potential potential sale of Callum Hudson-Odoi to Bayern Munich, according to The Times.
Bayern are continuing their public pursuit of the Blues youngster, who has indicated that he wants the move.
The Times say Chelsea want to agree a fee he can be re-signed for but that the German club are reluctant to accept the clause.
There continues to be speculation over the future of Michy Batshuayi after Valencia decided to end his season-long loan from Chelsea.
Fulham are among the clubs to have been linked with the Belgian striker.
And the Daily Telegraph are among several newspapers to report that Monaco, who have completed the signing of Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea, are also keen on Batshuayi.
The Telegraph also say Chelsea have agreed deals in principle for midfielders Nicolo Barella and Leandro Paredes.
The club will reportedly now decide whether to sign Cagliari’s Italy international Barella (pictured) or Zenit St Petersburg’s Argentina international Paredes as Fabregas’ replacement.
Chelsea continue to discuss a possible deal to bring in Gonzalo Higuain.
Other strikers have been linked but The Sun say landing Higuain, who is currently on a season-long loan at AC Milan from Juventus, is the Blues’ priority.
There also continues to be speculation over the future of Alvaro Morata.
A number of UK newspapers have picked up on a story by Spanish publication Sport suggesting that Barcelona are interested in a loan deal for the Chelsea striker, who has also been linked with the likes of Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.
