Batshuayi dismisses reports of early Chelsea return

Michy Batshuayi has dismissed reports claiming he could make an early return to Chelsea from Valencia.

Batshuayi has scored just once in his 11 appearance for the La Liga club since joining them on a season-long loan.

That has led to speculation in the Spanish press that the loan deal could be cut short in January.

However, Batshuayi insisted after scoring twice for Belgium against Iceland on Thursday evening that there is no truth in reports he could be set to leave Valencia.

“These are only rumours. I have no problem with the club,” the striker said.

“We are in a bad phase, but we will continue working to overcome the slump.”
